At one point, it looked like this season’s NFL MVP award was Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen’s to lose. And that could still be the case now that this market is off the board at most sportsbooks.
Just three weeks ago, his odds to win the award were sitting at -900. After the Bills barely beat the Patriots 24-21, he moved to -550.
Then, after Week 18, he was sitting at -300 before the odds went down.
Let’s take a look at the MVP oddsboard at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Jan. 6.
2024-25 NFL MVP ODDS:
Josh Allen, Bills: -300 (bet $10 to win $13.33 total)
Lamar Jackson, Ravens: +225 (bet $10 to win $32.50 total)
Joe Burrow, Bengals: +1600 (bet $10 to win $170 total)
Saquon Barkley, Eagles: +1600 (bet $10 to win $170 total)
Jared Goff, Lions: +8000 (bet $10 to win $810 total)
Sam Darnold, Vikings: +10000 (bet $10 to win 1,010 total)
Jayden Daniels, Commanders: +20000 (bet $10 to win $2,010 total)
Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers: +30000 (bet $10 to win $3,010 total)
Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs: +40000 (bet $10 to win $4,010 total)
Jordan Love, Packers: +50000 (bet $10 to win $5,010 total)
After the Christmas Day games ended, Allen lengthened slightly to -240.
But then the Bills defeated the Jets 40-14. In that matchup, Allen had 182 yards and two touchdowns through the air, complemented by 17 yards and one TD on the ground.
His odds shortened to -300.
Another QB who saw his odds move before the regular season ended is Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson.
On a recent episode of “The Facility”, co-host Chase Daniel praised Jackson, saying that he is proving to the world that “he is that dude.”
“You see him, time and time again, taking over these football games with his arm. It’s something we haven’t seen consistently in his entire career,” Daniel noted.
“He’s right back into the thick of the MVP race.”

A player whose odds absolutely surged up the board from Week 16 to Week 18 is Joe Burrow.
He moved to +1600 from +8000 over the last two weeks of the season.
Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is fourth on the board. He moved to +1600 from +1400 before the regular season ended.
